Terms of Service

Draft · last updated: 5 October 2026

Draft: this text is awaiting legal review and is not final. Highlighted parts in square brackets are still to be completed.

1. Provider

  • Name: [ADATKEZELŐ NEVE]
  • Registered address: [CÍM]
  • Tax number: [ADÓSZÁM]
  • Company registration number: [CÉGJEGYZÉKSZÁM]
  • Email: info@handballconnect.eu

2. Scope

These Terms apply to every user of the Handball Connect platform at handballconnect.eu (the Platform). By registering, the user accepts these Terms.

3. The service

The Platform is a closed, invitation-only professional network that lets handball clubs, player agents and adult professional players discover and negotiate transfer opportunities confidentially, with progressive disclosure of data. The provider is not a player agent, is not a party to or intermediary in contracts between users, and does not guarantee that any negotiation results in a transfer or contract.

4. Registration and account

  • Registration requires an invitation or an approved access request.
  • Users must provide true and up-to-date information. The provider verifies clubs and agents and may request documents for this.
  • Accounts are personal and non-transferable. Credentials must be kept secret; two-factor authentication is mandatory for certain roles.
  • Players under 18 cannot be registered.

5. Obligations by role

  • Clubs may only publish genuine, current searches and may use player data they see solely to assess the transfer concerned.
  • Agents may only add and represent a player with a valid mandate and the player's consent (form HC-JATE-01 or a mandate letter), and must comply with the applicable federation agent regulations.
  • Players are responsible for the accuracy of their profile and decide which club may see their confidential data, and at which level.

6. Confidentiality

Data seen on the Platform is confidential. It must not be passed on to third parties, bulk-downloaded, published outside the Platform, or used to contact the data subject in a way that bypasses progressive disclosure. Profile views are logged and may be shown to the player concerned.

7. Prohibited conduct

  • Registering with false data or on behalf of another person.
  • Circumventing the Platform's security or access restrictions, or automated data collection.
  • Posting harassing, deceptive or unlawful content.
  • Using the Platform for purposes other than transfer negotiation (e.g. advertising).

8. Fees

[FEES — TO BE DETERMINED]. The provider will notify users before introducing any paid service; fees apply only after explicit acceptance.

9. Suspension and termination

The provider may suspend or terminate an account if the user breaches these Terms or fails verification. Users may request deletion of their account at any time under Settings → Privacy; deletion is carried out by anonymisation as described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Liability

Each user is responsible for the accuracy of the data they provide. Negotiations and contracts between users are matters between those users; the provider is not liable for them. The provider aims to keep the Platform available but, except where liability cannot be excluded by law, is not liable for downtime caused by maintenance or outages.

11. Intellectual property

The Platform's software, branding and content are the provider's intellectual property. Users retain control of the content they upload and grant the provider a licence to use it to the extent needed to provide the service.

12. Data protection

The processing of personal data is governed by the Privacy Policy.

13. Changes

The provider may amend these Terms and will notify users at least 15 days before changes take effect. Users who do not accept a change may close their account.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Hungarian law. The parties will first try to resolve disputes amicably; failing that, [COMPETENT COURT] has jurisdiction. Users who qualify as consumers keep the rights granted by the mandatory consumer protection rules of their country of residence.
